oAuth for lasso8

Tim Taplin
I'm testing out porting my lasso9 oauth lib to lasso8 based on a request that came thru Jono's git repo.

I've run into an issue where the term.ie end point that I've used for testing is not answering anymore. I'm thinking of testing against twitter's implementation, but it seems to be a moving target also.

If anyone has the time and inclination to test against some other endpoints, please let me know and I'll forward you the lasso8 code to test with.

I have not done a lot of real world testing on this as it was originally setup specifically for Quickbooks and then handed off to a client. So, any further testing on either lasso9 or 8 versions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Tim Taplin
ps. you can find my repo at https://bitbucket.org/taplin/oauth_lib-for-lasso. I'll be adding the lasso8 version shortly.

Hi Tim,

We are needing to connect with Vimeo's API very soon for a project, so that
will be an opportunity.  This has been pending for almost a year, so it will
be good to get it in place and a good chance to test your Lasso9 version on
that service.

Very best regards,

Rick

It looks like Vimeo is getting ready to roll out a new version of their API which will use oAuth2 which is a different beast entirely. The new api is still in beta, so I'd expect them to support the oAuth1.0a standard for some time yet. I have done some oAuth2 work with my google calendar tag. Let me know if you'd like some help with either of the vimeo api setups.

I would expect the current version of the lasso oauth lib that I posted on bitbucket to work well with the existing api.

Let me know if you run into any issues or would like further assistance.

Hey Tim,

Where did you get with the Lasso8 port. I just found out that I don't have
long to convert my current LDAP auth for all of my apps to OAuth to
authenticate users. We are running 8.6.3.
