Hi Tim,

Have you looked at cipher_digest?

If you’re looking to create an MD5 hash, then:

[Cipher_Digest: 'Data', -Digest='MD5’]

will hopefully work for you.

If you’re working with a third-party (like Amazon’s seller central), you may need to Encode_Base64(Cipher_Digest('Data', -Digest=‘MD5’)) to get it to work.

Hope this helps!

Kind regards,
Da’oud

Re: cipher_sign

Tim Taplin
Thanks for the suggestion, but no. I need to use a private key to sign the data, which as I found out during this process, is different from creating a digest hash.

The lasso9 cipher_sign method does precisely what I need, which I discovered after several wandering attempts at working it out for myself, but its not available on lasso8.

I’m looking into a few other options.

Assuming that cipher_sign in 9 uses the open_ssl library, would this be what you seek?
https://openssl.org/docs/manmaster/apps/rsautl.html

Should be pretty easy to shell out for that.
