Windows code editors of choice for Lasso?

Jonathan Guthrie-3
I'm circling back round to the issue of code editors on Windows, and wondering what others that are using Windows use?

The obvious one is Eclipse, and some people would say "Wordpad", but I'm keen to hear from those who use Windows for their code editing.

Any alternatives?

I have seen Windows-based coders using Notepad++, looks pretty good.

I really liked editpad pro when I was using Windows.  Bil Corry was
using it, too, I believe, but I'm not sure if he still does or not...

Sublime is another cross platform editor which I've heard good things about.

If you go Sublime, take a look at Sublime 2 (http://www.sublimetext.com/2)
It's still in beta, but fairly stable. Also, since it works with Textmate bundles, you can use the basic one I put together for Lasso.

Of course, there's also always Vim

Dreamweaver still works for me, with some of the remnants of Lasso
Studio's code completion / colouring.

I'm a huge fan of UltraEdit (www.ultraedit.com). It's fast, great search
functions, built in FTP, and with some tweaks I've added lasso code
coloring. I can't live without it!

Sublime 2 is getting a lot of attention in the Ruby/Rails world I believe (textmate being the former tool of choice) - the new Rails Tutorial by Michael Hartl features it prominently.

In the sporadic event that I must edit something on Windows, I use gEdit. I created a Syntax Coloring file for it, too - not complete though, but fairly functional (http://marc.vos.net/downloads/other/)

I would strongly suggest BBEdit. It has code coloring and folding for Lasso built right in.

It's fairly expensive at $1048 but at that price it comes wrapped in a nice MacBook Air.

Sorry… it's Friday and I'm a but punchy. Just couldn't resist <g>

After all, I just referred to GitHub as GutHub in chat so I wasn't one to talk!
