Which Knop in SVN Repo?

stevepiercy
I'm totally confused.

For Lasso 8, which branch/trunk should I pull from the repo?
http://code.google.com/p/knop/source/browse/#svn/trunk
http://code.google.com/p/knop/source/browse/#svn/branches/Release%20L8
http://code.google.com/p/knop/source/browse/#svn/branches/old

For Lasso 9, is this the proper branch?
http://code.google.com/p/knop/source/browse/#svn/branches/knop9rewrite

What is this branch for?
http://code.google.com/p/knop/source/browse/#svn/branches/param_navigation

Finally if I want to work on Jolle's calendar demo from
Amsterdam, it looks like a snapshot of r111 is what was used,
but I would assume the current Lasso branch/trunk version would
work as well, correct?

Re: Which Knop in SVN Repo?

Johan Solve-2
The trunk version is the one that is being developed. My original plan was to make it L8 and L9 compatible, and I made it pass the L9 parser but since then we have realized that it will be impossible to have a single working version for both L8 and L9.

So trunk still has the traces of the L9 syntax adjustments.

The Release L8 branch is more or less frozen.

The "real" L9 version (still in progress) is in the knop9rewrite branch. Jolle and Tim do the main work here.

Since the goal to have a single version that works in both L8 and L9 has been abandoned, I'd like to roll back the syntax adjustments for L9 but that's a larger task. Basically it would be by merging in the changes from trunk into the Release L8 branch, excluding the L9 syntax changes.

The "old" and "param_navigation" branches can just be ignored, old stuff.

I don't know about the calendar demo, Jolle would have to answer that one.

And the work progresses. Since Berlin I've continued on the knop_nav type. The latest version is NOT committed to the repo but I can do that as soon as anyone asks for it.
It's taking some time because basically I can only work on Knop on weekends and the last ones I've had other commitments that held me from the keyboard.
Once knop_nav is worked thru it's time for the last type, knop_grid. And THEN we can start testing it using real projects...!

Basically I haven't touched the calendar demo since Amsterdam. I've had no clients that needed the calendar since.
If you are interested then there's some problems to deal with first. The present Knop calendar is not compatible with the latest Jquery distribution. The present Jquery calendar plugin is a fairly large rewrite compared to the one I used for Knop calendar.
So getting my calendar working on the present Jquery and Jquery calendar requires some fairly large rewrites.

OK, I might hop on this once winter settles in.

OK, thanks for the status.  I want to use it for an upcoming
project, so I can add to its development.
