Virtual Server (ESX)

lizquigg
I currently am using IIS on a Windows machine for Lasso.  The
Computing Division wants me to move me to a Virtual Server running
ESX.  Has anyone had any experience with this?  Will it work?

I don't know what ESX is, but you can run Lasso on a virtual server.

ESX is VMWare. It should work fine. The VMware configuration may need
to be tweaked to make sure you get the same performance.

Hi Liz

Yes, VM's running under ESX run fine, in fact we've had great success with ours using CentOS and Ubuntu - in fact you could say there are advantages to having them run under ESX.

However, you need to make sure they have allocated you enough RAM and drive space.
