Upgrading MBP to Lion

Marc Pinnell-3
Going to be upgrading my MBP to Lion this weekend. What is the current thinking as far as Lasso goes? Running 8.6 now under SL. Stock installs of Apache/MySQL/Etc.

I'm running 8.5 and 9 on stock install of Apache and custom install of MySQL. I don't know if 8.6 is supported on Lion or not, just FYI, but I haven't had problems with 8.5

Note the "Important Information for Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) users"
Describes the process plus a link to the .so file that may get nuked in some situations.
I'm running 10.7 with Lasso 8.6 and 9.1.3 side by side with zero problems.

Upgrade went well (if a bit later than expected). Reinstalled the connector for 8.6, but am getting an error trying to startup l9. Apache is complaining about, mod_lasso9.so, being missing. Help!

Re: Upgrading MBP to Lion

Often with upgrades web min seems to get busted.
IMHO download the latest and install again, should put everything back in it's rightful place :)

Continuing this thread since it's based on the same desired outcome.
Got a brand new computer and it came with Lion.
Want to have the latest SVN version of Lasso 9 on it. Don't care about 8.5/6.
Questions
What is the latest version for Lasso 9 on Lion? 9.1.5?

Is that the version available for SVN install, found here:
http://download.lassosoft.com/svn/lasso/lasso9_builds/9.1/osx/10.5-i386-x86_64

Can I trust the instructions on this page especially in relation to Lion?

Re: Upgrading MBP to Lion

Hi Jolle,

There should be no difference in the SVN instructions apart from those specific to fastcgi vs mod_lasso9.
Please note that this may not install mod_lasso9, if it does not then please let us know and in the meantime extract it from the package installer.
Personally I have had success in installing the package 9.1.4 and creating an instance from SVN, but only do this if you have spare time and it's not supported.

FWIW the latest public release of Lasso 9 is v9.1.4

Note to those not on the Lasso 9 beta list:
LassoSoft does not offer install support for SVN installations, it is specifically for Lasso 9 beta testing and *not* intended for public use, and certainly *not* for production use!

Thanks

Probably not. I wrote them before the Instance Manager came along, so they'll need some significant rework to account for that. You'd probably need to use the stock installer to get it Lasso 9 + IM running, then check out the latest SVN to a new folder and create a new instance pointing to it.
