MySQL update in Lasso 9

Anibal Escobar
In Lasso 9, an update statement on a record that doesn't exist doesn't
produce an error (error_currenterror='no error').  Is this normal
behavior?  Didn't this throw some type of error in Lasso 8?

Thanks,
Anibal Escobar

That is in line with how MySQL treats it. Try the update query directly on MySQL, for example using Navicat, and you'll see there's no error reported.

If knowing if a record was affected you can check that specifically. Lasso 9 does provide a call for that. The syntax evades me, not at my desk. But I'll look it up when I'm back.

Hi Anibal,

That is not an error. Only MySQL errors are reported back.
