How many messages have there been today? I count 4 including this one?
Trying to figure out if my mail server is acting up.

Hi Marc.  The list is naturally slow.  I think people are coding for
Lummit to impress people, so they ditch the list.

It's also stupid cold in some parts of the world (like outside my
window) so discussion has taken a lull.  From what I gather it's hot
in Aus as well.  Sydney is running out of water because of all the
plasma tv fires there are.  Inside joke.

Nah, things be cool mon.

More like frenzy at the discount stores, car dealerships and
electronics big box stores (in the US).

But let us not forget that today is actually much more important to a
much larger proportion of the world's population - yesterday evening,
with the rise of the moon. was the of start of the 15 day celebration
of the Chinese/Lunar New Year.

Happy Year of the Pig!

If anybody is interested in a presentation on China, let me know.
I'll post a PPT file that one of my MBA classmates delivered a couple

[OT] Chinese New Year

Viaduct Productions
Hi folks.

If anybody is interested, I've posted a Chinese New Year presentation:

<http://www.pints.com/chinese/chinese_new_year.key.zip>

It is a Keynote presentation from a PPT he had.  The PPT didn't work
so well, so I fixed her up in Keynote.  It's something like 117 slides.

Cheers

Inline and the -host parameter

Marc Vos-3
HI all,

I'm having a weird situation in Lasso :

            inline:  -host = array(-datasource='odbc',
-name='SAPDBODBC', -username='U1', -password='P1'),
                       -database='XX', -table='XX.QUEEN', -sql=$zztmp,
-maxrecords='1';

                         inline:   -host = array(-datasource='odbc',
-name='AS400ODBC', -username='U2', -password='P2'),
                                    -database='YY', -table='KING',
-sql=$zztmp, -maxrecords='1';

                         /inline;
             /inline;

The second inline uses the open ODBC connection of the first, despite
the other ODBC datasource in the -host parameter. The error I get is :
table KING not found in XX.

Is there anybody who uses nested OBDC inlines to completely different
machines?

Hi Marc.  Try to post everything but your DB and table into the
host.  Then create a $dbconn with database, table and SQL statement.
That's what I've been doing for MySQL.

Re: Inline and the -host parameter

Marc Vos-3
Nope, but I looked in LassoErrors.txt and that's even worse : it mixes
the two connections:

[02/19/07 17:26:28] SQLAPIDS: DBMS error -4004: [SAP AG][SQLOD32
DLL][SAP DB] Base table or view not found;-4004 POS(114) Unknown table

[02/19/07 17:26:31] SQLAPIDS: DBMS error -4004: [SAP AG][SQLOD32
DLL][SAP DB] Base table or view not found;-4004 POS(114) Unknown table
name:AUFVP
[02/19/07 17:26:35] SQLAPIDS: DBMS error -204: [IBM][Client Access
Express ODBC Driver (32-bit)][DB2/400 SQL]SQL0204 - EXCHANGE_SHIPMENT
der Art *FILE in TISYS nicht gefunden.
[02/19/07 17:28:46] SQLAPIDS: DBMS error -4004: [SAP AG][SQLOD32
DLL][SAP DB] Base table or view not found;-4004 POS(114) Unknown table
name:AUFVP

- Table AUFVP is on the ' [IBM]Client Access Express ' datasource and
not in the SAP AG datasource.
- EXCHANGE_SHIPMENT is on the ' [SAP AG]SQLOD32 ' datasource and not in
the IBM datasource.

So it messes  / merges the connections into the wrong paths to the
databases.

I want to solve the hanging threads which still bother me, so I thought
i use -host everywhere to see if that solves the memory problem of
Lasso, except for the MySQL db. But it seems I can't use this solution
either.

It's Lasso 8.5.2b5 of W2K3 Server.

Thanks and regards,
Marc Vos
