LassoSoft prices

Alex Pilson-2
Dear LassoSoft,

I wanted to get some clarification of the pricing on the site. Are the
prices Canadian Dollars? If so, I believe it might be nice to have
that noted on there somewhere (visible).

Please advise.

Alex Pilson

The era of the Pilsonism lives on...ok so I see it now, but for some
reason I had over looked it. Maybe it should be next to prices like:
$99.00 / CAD

To experience it for yourself, put your left hand in front of your
right eye by 4 inches then browse the site, clicking 4 times.

You might find 4 interesting things, or 2.

Hi Alex,

on the product pages there is the statement in the right column, under the calculator ' all prices are in Canadian dollars"
on the shopping cart summary page, under the Cart Total is * All prices in Canadian dollars
on the invoice in the payments gateway is 'Canadian Dollar Total'

Is there somewhere else this statement should be?
let me know, and we will make it happen.

No, that was gravity. Our scientists might have found a cure for that. Pilsonism on the other hand, they had to give up. It was impossible to find a way around that.

No way, it should be SEK or at the very least Euro. Come to think of it I insist that it's AUD.
Rubels?

Or, since Lassosoft is a Canadian company, maybe Canadian dollars isn't such a bad idea. They might even be forced by laws of commerce in Canada to provide their prices in the local currency. Had it been a Swedish company they would have to.

Apparently you may also very well be assessed a foreign currency transaction fee if you use a card like American Express, if you reside in the US. Ah, times they are a-changin!

Many US banks have changed the definition of foreign transactions to include purchases in USD but made outside the United States.  Capital One doesn't charge a fee (or didn't last time I checked), but I believe they're the only US bank not to.  You can read more here (I'm featured in the article):

     http://redtape.msnbc.com/2009/05/currency-conversion-fee-hits-us-shoppers.html

You can probably guess who the hosting company in Amsterdam is.  Which, BTW, since I've been using PayPal to pay in USD, I don't have any currency issues anymore (thanks Chris!).

Next to every price?

$ CAD

You are LassoSoft.com not LassoSoft.ca. The .com implies (at least to me) that you are a US based company selling products in US dollars. You *were* US based up until a few months ago. Not everyone may be up to speed with that.

Already been charged fees for currency conversion (Mastercard charged ~3%, Amex ~2.7%).

Re: LassoSoft prices

Assumptions are the mother of all... ;)

 From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.com
"Intended use: Commercial entities (worldwide)"

A few, very international, non US based companies:
http://www.ikea.com/
http://www.hm.com/
http://www.ericsson.com/
http://www.nokia.com/

When I travel around in South America, the $ sign means Pesos – e.g. COP
Colombian Pesos, in the US it means USD. The list is long. In Sweden we
don't have a symbol for the currency. If we need to make the
distinction, we state SEK. Simple as that.

You do have a point that there's been a transition from USD to CAD, and
that is as far as I understand reflected on the site.
