Lasso 9.3.1 for CentOS 7 on RHEL7.1

lizquigg
I have been running Lasso on a Windows server for a long time.  I am still using 8.6.3 for production.  I have put some work into a Lasso Development server 9.2.6 on Windows, but not Lasso 9.3 because I was advised as late as Dec. 2015 that  it was not working well on Windows.  I also tried to follow progress by looking at the URL with versions. (http://www.lassosoft.com/Versions ), but this does not seem to be updated.

To get to 9.3.1, I am hoping to get a version running on RHEL 7.1.  Looking at the releases, we are hoping the Lasso 9.3.1 for CentOS 7 will work on this.  Has anyone had any experience running Lasso 9.3.1 for CentOS 7 on RHEL7.1?  I have not been able to get any response from Lasso Support on this question.

Out of curiosity, why RHEL 7 instead of Ubuntu 14.04 LTS?

Re: Lasso 9.3.1 for CentOS 7 on RHEL7.1

Steffan A. Cline
I suspect there are more of us who use RHEL 6+ than Ubuntu.  That plus I pleaded with LS sometime back to make a build for me  before 14 was out. I'm guessing they are just continuing with it.

Thanks,

It works flawlessly on CentOS 7! I have 8.6.3 and 9.3 running on the same instance just fine.

Lasso 9.2.7 works just fine on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.  I’ve got it running on 4 different Ubuntu installs.

Re: Lasso 9.3.1 for CentOS 7 on RHEL7.1

Dave Bruhn
Well, let me clarify slightly.  I’ve got 9.2.7 running on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, but I had to take a few extra small steps.  I’d be happy to share those steps if anyone needs a hand.
