Lasso 8 using a lot of memory

Marc Vos-3
Hi all,

I have this process:

        ./Lasso8Service --nolisten --ischild --siteid=1 --sitename=default --pipename=lassosite_8.6_1 --workingdir=LassoSites/default-1

which runs at 50% CPU and uses 10.68 GB of RAM

and this one

        ./Lasso8Service

which runs at 0% CPU and uses 570 MB of RAM

This all for heavy usage with only 21 httpd processes of 371 MB each.

Are these normal figures?

Regards,
Marc Vos

Normal depends on the service and what it's doing.

The 371MB per httpd process seems high — I'd evaluate what those requests
are doing.

Re: Lasso 8 using a lot of memory

Handling about a few Lasso/MySQL requests per user per 20 seconds, either direct or via AJAX, from 6:00 to 18:00. We have between 20 to 40 users active during the day, with probably max 2 tabs in their webbrowser. Most of them are using IE, Edge or FF.

We restart Lasso 8 each sunday morning, so it reaches the 10GB in just two days.

Re: Lasso 8 using a lot of memory

Marc Vos-3
No, that was once, but PDF via Lasso is … . We now do PDFs via jspdf, which requires some amount of JSON data via AJAX-calls. And graphs via d3.js which also may require some amount of JSON data.  But these calls are a minor part of the daily business.

I have now set MaxClients and ServerLimit to 25 instead of 256. Wait an see….
