Lasso 8 and 9 can't use File_Serve to see image in a FileMaker container field

Tami Williams-3
Using Lasso 8.5 and Lasso 8.6 and Lasso 9.3 on Mac OS 10.10.5 Yosemite

Tried the [file_serve…] instructions from Lasso Docs pg 189
http://www.lassosoft.com/usercontent/pdfs/Lasso_8.6_LanguageGuide.pdf

I created a “getImage.lasso”:

[inline(
-database='DatabaseName',
-username=‘LassoFMPHostUsername',
-password='LassoFMPHostPassword',
-layout='DBLayout',
-RecordID_Value= action_param('ID'),
-Search
)]

[File_Serve(
(Database_FMContainer: 'productImage'), -Type='image/jpeg',-File='FileMakerImage.jpg'
)]

[/Inline]

And an Images.lasso file with:

[inline(
-database=‘DatabaseName',
-username=‘LassoFMPHostUsername',
-password=‘LassoFMPHostPassword',
-layout=‘DBLayout',
-Findall
)]

[records]

<img src="getImage.lasso?ID=[recordID_value]">

[/records]

[/inline]

And, I can NOT get it to work.

Any suggestions on how to get File_Serve working?

NOTE: My FileMaker dbs are hosted on a different IP address than my Lasso server

------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is what I have to do to see image in a FileMaker container field in a Lasso page:

[field('imageFileName’)] = FMP calc field =  GetContainerAttribute ( productImage ; "filename" )

productImage = the FMP container field holding the image

[inline(
-database=‘YourDatabaseName',
-username=‘YourLassoFMPHostUsername',
-password=‘YourLassoFMPHostPassword',
-layout=‘YourDBLayout',
-Findall
)]

<img src="http://databaseHostIPAddress//fmi/xml/cnt/[field('imageFileName')]?-db=[database_name]&-lay=[layout_name]&-recid=[recordID_value]&-field= YourContainerFieldName”>

[/inline]

NOTE: the img src = the value in [field(‘YourContainerFieldName’)]

Ke Carlton-3
Does:

    Database_FMContainer('productImage')

Return any data?

Tami Williams-3
No - it says field not found on not enabled.  But - all fields ARE enabled.

Ke Carlton-3
So it's an issue with the field as opposed to file_serve.

Haven't touch FM in a long time; so hopefully one of the Filemaker guys can
help.

Re: Lasso 8 and 9 can't use File_Serve to see image in a FileMaker container field

maxwellk2
Haven't served images from FileMaker in a while. The example code looks like what was working for us in 8.6 until we stopped serving images from FM. Sounds like a possible security or config issue. Can you display the contents of any other fields from the same layout besides 'productImage'?

Re: Lasso 8 and 9 can't use File_Serve to see image in a FileMaker container field

Tami Williams-3
All other fields display fine.  In fact the inline returns all records, all fields the only field contents it has trouble displaying is the productImage.
