LJAPI in Lasso 9

Rob Brooks
We're migrating to Lasso 9.  I had written a Lasso module for interacting
with SalesForce Java SOAP API in Java using the LJAPI in Lasso 8.  I can
only find docs and examples for calling Java functions from within Lasso
code for LJAPI in Lasso 9.  I still see an example for a C module using
LCAPI (http://www.lassoguide.com/api/lcapi-methods.html)  Is this not
possible with 9?

Thanks!

Rob,

I’m not sure what the old LJAPI interface was like. It sounds like you’re saying it was more like LCAPI in that you could use Java to create Lasso types or functions. If that’s the case then the LJAPI for Lasso 9 is different. As you said, it allows you to call Java code directly. The nice thing about this is that it allows you to determine which part of your code you write in Java and which you write in Lasso.

The docs, as you probably know, are here: http://www.lassoguide.com/api/ljapi-overview.html

If you want an example, you could look at the code for PDFs:
http://source.lassosoft.com/svn/lasso/lasso9_source/trunk/PDFJavaTags/
http://source.lassosoft.com/svn/lasso/lasso9_source/trunk/pdf.lasso

HTH,
Brad

Looks like it will be a little bit of a rewrite.  The PDF stuff should get me rolling.

Thanks Brad
