[L8.6] File_Move logic double check

Marc Pinnell-3
Just need a double check on my logic if someone would be so kind. Need to move all the files from a folder into a new folder.

Is this the correct format?
file_move(
        $serverroot + 'imports/pacclass/*.*',
        $serverroot + 'domain/images/class/pac/',
        -FileOverwrite
        );

Thanks
Marc

I can’t say since I don’t use lasso 8. I can say how I would test it. Create a test origin dir with some files and a test target dir. Run the code and check the results. If the files been moved it’s the correct syntax.

Can you wildcard file_move?

Unless I know for sure I'll have duplicates and want to overwrite them, I tend to avoid fileoverwrite as it can lead to data loss. One way to ensure there are never duplicates is to name the files yourself and store the original file name somewhere.
