Huge Cocoa MySQL bug

Greg Willits-2
I've been using Version 0.7b5. Editing any field in a record that has
decimal field types will cause all decimal fields to be stuffed with
9s. overwriting whatever data you had in there.

Does it continue to do it if you build the SQL statement
yourself?

Are you using it with MySQL 5.x ?

I have found that Cocoa MySQL (plain) version 0.7b5 works fine with
MySQL 4.x but is unhappy with MySQL 5.x

For MySQL 5.x, I use Cocoa MySQL- SBG  version 0.7.1 and the decimal
field has worked fine for me.

Caveat: Cocoa MySQL- SBG  version 0.7.1 does not work well with MySQL 4.

FWIW,
Paul M.

Not sure what you mean. In the Content tab if you view data, and edit
any field manually, it screws up decimal fields. If you're asking
whether it does that if I execute a manually written UPDATE statement
through CocoaMySQL -- dunno.

Ah, yep. MySQL 5. I'll try SBG. Thx!

Last August I found Cocoa MySQL corrupting BLOB fields too.

Re: Huge Cocoa MySQL bug [Fixed]

Greg Willits-2
I sent a bug report in yesterday, and Lorenz fixed it right away.

Version 0.76 appears to have fixed the decimal bug.

"You find a current build on http://cocoamysql.sourceforge.net/beta/
CocoaMySQL-pre0.7b6.zip (please note that import/export in this build
is beta and only import/export of SQL files is working currently)."
