File permissions

Richard Taubo
Hi!

I have case where file paths added to 1*]:
Sites > Sites > File Paths

Do not show up in 2*]:
        Setup > Security > Files

1*] Step 2 in Steve Piercy's very nice File Tag overview, http://www.stevepiercy.com/lasso_stuff/file_perms.lasso
2*] Step 6 in the same overview

I even restarted the server within the solution and via the stopLassoService.sh  and startLassoService.sh tools to no avail . . .

Does anyone have any input on this?

(Lasso 8.5.6)

Thanks!

Richard Taubo

Re: File permissions

French, Shelane
You checked the permissions on the server? The directory lasso is trying
to access, make sure the lasso user is in the group and it has group write
permissions.

Weird.

Do you have multiple tabs open on two different LassoSites?

Check the internal SQLite table and possibly your error log.
Maybe the permissions on the SQLite db changed and will not let
your write?

Maybe try restarting the machine?

Worst case scenario, just manually add the records in the
internal SQLite database.

Bingo! Must be something like that, as when I closed all the tabs except the ServerAdmin one some hours later, and reopened the given Site from that tab, it shows up in:
        Setup > Security > Files

So there are certain info that gets stuck in a session that does not get refreshed?

Thanks for the feedback! :-)
