Events in Lasso 9

Rob Brooks
Hello All,

Trying to get events working in Lasso9 but whatever combination of
URL/file path I can think of that I provide as the 'event script' I get
the following error:

"Parser error. _SCHEDULER_DYN_XX_D7E5E3F1CEC0EDB16C3E3A52CF223195:
Premature end of file line: 1, col: 1"

?

Hi,

Is this on Windows or Linux?
If on Linux, I suggest to use CRON and add WGET commands to call Lasso pages. The easiest way to do this is via Webmin, or similar.

Marc,

We're on CentOS ... Cron is the solution I'm going to use ... just trying to
find out what the events tab in Lux instance manager was for :-)

Is it commonly accepted that it just doesn't work?

Hi Rob,
Oh, I don't know. Because of problems I had with the L8 event queue and L9 command-line, I started using cron.

RE: Events in Lasso 9

Jon Harris
Hi Rob

Although we use LP8 on Windows - this will work for anything.

https://github.com/cronkeep/cronkeep

I have setup "cronkeep" on a Linux instance, this way its "web manageable". Although you could do it on the Linux side, we get Lasso to send us email to tell us what happened to the event.

Our cronkeep entries look like this:
curl https://www.thedomain.com/thelassopage.lasso > /dev/null 2>&1

HTH
Jon
