Best way to track down what is causing Lasso to crash...

John Morris-3
What would be the best way to track down Lasso 9's crashing?

I just converted this site from Lasso 8 -> 9.2.7
Lasso service is restarting about every 3-5 minutes.

CentOS, Lasso 9.2.7.

Thanks for any ideas.

two main steps, monitor the logs in the admin log viewer, or directly via tail to find out at what point it is crashing.

If it seems that its launching, then crashing and relaunching without completing the full startup, remove all files from your lasso startup, and test them one at a time.

Its likely that you have some code that is causing a crash during the startup or thru some request that happens regularly on the site.

Thanks Tim,

That pointed me to the offending file.
A well placed comment and it's stable.

Now to figure out what it didn't like.

Thanks Again.

Re: Best way to track down what is causing Lasso to crash...

Tim Taplin
awesome, thanks for the update.

If you dont sort it out quickly, dont hesitate to ask for help. I'd be happy to take a look at and (if useful) test the offending code to help track it down.
