A synchronous cXML response (200 series range)

Tom W Robinson
Hello All,

I want to thank everyone that has helped me along the way with my cXML parsing solution. I have one step left and that is responding to the server with a synchronous cXML response.

The overall framework on my solution follows these steps.

1. A Server posts cXML to a lasso page on my webserver via HTTP POST
2. Lasso parses the cXML document, authenticates credentials, and creates/populates a record on a filemaker database.

Now I need to return a synchronous cXML response that looks like the following:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE cXML SYSTEM "http://xml.cxml.org/schemas/cXML/1.2.006/cXML.dtd">
<cXML version="1.1" payloadID="1111111111" xml:lang="en-US" timestamp="2017-05-11T11:39:04">
<Response><Status code="200" text="Success"/></Response>
</cXML>

Any suggestions on how to do this?

Thanks!

Tom Robinson

Sure:

content_body = `<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE cXML SYSTEM
"http://xml.cxml.org/schemas/cXML/1.2.006/cXML.dtd">
<cXML version="1.1" payloadID="1111111111" xml:lang="en-US"
timestamp="2017-05-11T11:39:04">
<Response><Status code="200" text="Success"/></Response>
</cXML>`

Or:

web_response->rawcontent =  `<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE cXML SYSTEM
"http://xml.cxml.org/schemas/cXML/1.2.006/cXML.dtd">
<cXML version="1.1" payloadID="1111111111" xml:lang="en-US"
timestamp="2017-05-11T11:39:04">
<Response><Status code="200" text="Success"/></Response>
</cXML>`

Port with [Email_Send] - v.8.5.6

Henning Jakobsen-2

I know the v.8.6 has an option "-Port" for [Email_Send], but the manual does
not say if the same option is available in v.8.5.6.

I have a quite few sites running on OSX Server 10.6.8 + Lasso 8.5.6 and need
to switch to an external SMTP server and therefore need to specify port 587
for the SMTP in several web forms.

Is the syntax the same as in v.8.6..?

    ...
    -host='smtp.xxxxx.com',
    -post='587',
    ...

Happy for any advice before I start the job.

Best regards

/ Henning

Yes, -port should work.
